This webinar will discuss fundamental open source information collection framework principles in establishing a common baseline for open source intelligence, open source research and online investigation professionals alike. The discussion will build on each of the core baseline pillars to identify different levels of operational proficiency and highlight methods to scale tailored OSIC frameworks effectively. Participants will learn new best practices, enrich their understanding of the changing digital landscape and explore how to implement essential governance within their respective operational framework. This open-ended forum will cover a number of topics related to OSIC best-practices and is tailored to OSINT practitioners, investigators, and program managers.
Presenter Bio
Alexandre Bruce has been actively practicing Open-Source Intelligence for over 15 years. He currently leads the Open Source Information Collection Program (OSIC) for the National Fisheries Intelligence Service at the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. Prior to leading the National OSIC Program, he worked for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and in a private sector financial institution in Anti-Money Laundering.
